AJS file

The final development of AJS's 500 cc Grand Prix twin, whose cylinders were tilted to 45 degrees to improve cooling and carburettor fitment, with the motor mounted lower in a loop frame and pannier-style fuel tanks in 1954. Originally conceived with a supercharger before the 1946 ban, the Porcupine family took AJS's only 500 cc world title in 1949 but was often temperamental. Just four E95s were made before AJS left Grand Prix racing at the end of 1954.
